Phyllis has been involved in the Health and Wellness industry for over thirty years, with experience in group exercise, person training, education, and management. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science with minor in psychology. Over three decades She achieved certifications from American College of Sports Medicine, Cooper Institute (CIAR), American council on Exercise GX & PT, Pilates: Powerhouse Institute, Power Pilates, Physical Mind, Yoga E-RYT 500, Silver Sneakers and Barre.

many years of Personal Training and observing client perform exercises with faulty body mechanics, Phyllis was drawn to the Pilates method of conditioning. With an emphasis on posture and mechanics in her college studies it only made sense to follow a path of study that would aid clients to improve movement and function.


Phyllis’s experience comes not only from the fitness field, but her professional experience carried over to the medical field. She worked in physical therapy where she taught back school (receiving training from Saunders Institute) and rehabilitative exercise to patients. This prompted her pursuit of certification/endorsement as Orthopedic Exercise Specialist through ACE.


Adding to her list of credentials, Phyllis taught for Collin County Community College for nine-year, in the department of Kinesiology. She taught for five years with the American Red Cross in CPR and first aid. She held the position as Fitness director at Stonebriar County club. Opened and operated her own Pilates studio for 7 years.

Phyllis’s Yoga journey began 2003 when her instructor told her to gain yoga certification. (L. Biscontini, E-RYT 500, Iyengar/Kripalu). Taking workshops all along, she took a Yin yoga workshop, followed by RYT-200 hour training with Purple Lotus Yoga. Fulfill the hours as E-RYT-200. 300-hour with Grow Yoga.

Her yoga journey grew from her studies in eastern medicine and energy healing. As a Reiki master, Healing Touch level 3, and a student of shamanic work. She continues to study through books and online workshops. Her studies in Eastern medicine included the healing modalities of Reiki and “Healing Touch”.

She has a gift in meditation, with a voice that takes you deep into the meditation. She creatively writes meditations, uses a deer skin drum for shamanic meditations to connect you deeper within. Uses several meditation methods, as well as seasonal meditations, and moon meditations.

As a Teacher/presenter:

  • 2016 - “SCW-Dallas Mania” her title “Yoga and Chakra”.
  • 2018- spring - Dallas Yoga festival – Supported yoga with stability ball
  • Feb. 2020 Bhakti festival – Yin yoga meridians and chakras

While 2020 brought about many changes the one that stood out was her ability to teach teachers. Phyllis’s growth project is writing the curriculum to teach teachers in 200/300-hour programs under Yoga Alliance. Currently as a YACEP she conducts teacher training workshops: Posturing and biomechanics of Yoga, Yin Yoga, supported yoga w/ball.

With a desire to help others achieve balance in life through movement, meditation, and empowerment.

Phyllis currently teaching a course in Reiki I and II. With expanded one-hour workshops:

  • Reiki in the World
  • Working with Groups (yoga)
  • Using reiki with your goals
  • Problem solving with Reiki

On a monthly basis:

  • Shamanic ceremony with the full and dark moon

Individual sessions:

  • Past life regression
  • Energy Healing – Reiki
  • Life coaching
